All the believers were together and had everything in common.

The Fellowship of the Believers

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

— Acts 2: 42-47

Life Together

An important value in Liberty Church is relationship. We seek to put friendship before function as we together live out our lives before Jesus. We, therefore, see as critically important the way we live and share our lives together. We view ourselves as a family to belong to rather than a membership to be subscribed to. Our church relationships are enjoyed on Sundays in our services and in hanging out at our café afterwards as well as via our weekly connect groups who meet in homes across the city. We have Youth Connect group for 12-18 year olds. We have a Kids Ministry that meets on Sundays during the sermon 4-11 years.

We prioritise & come together for prayer in our two regular weekly prayer meetings and offer a dedicated prayer text service. We have a wide variety of other meetings that occur throughout a calendar year including our Men’s breakfasts and Men’s weekly prayer, ladies tea’s and special events. For our wider community we provide regular opportunities to attend our Alpha courses for adults and youth, as well as a variety of equipping times and social church family get-togethers and special events ie 4x4 days, games nights, picnics, music events, Tables of the World, Principals appreciation Dinners, Marriage events etc.

Connect Groups

It’s in the name, connect groups are an important way to connect with God, and others on this journey of faith. Regardless if you are still discovering who Jesus is or have been following him for years. Belonging to a connect group is an integral part of being a member of the Liberty Church family.

Prayer Ministry

Meetings & Text Request

Our prayer meetings are a vital part of our church family life. We pray for the church, city, region, and nations as well as for families and individuals as they walk through hard times. They are a life-giving place and opportunity that are open to all to participate in. So many testimonies of answered prayer have come out of these times together.

Liberty Church Cheese & Wine Fundraiser for You are Not Alone & White Ribbon

“A fundraising event like this Jazz, Cheese & Wine evening was our way of responding to current community issues in 2019. It gave us an opportunity to provide significant funds via “You are not alone” (Liberty women’s support arm) to our local DV Centre while enjoying great fellowship and food.”
